SPARKLE

It was fifteen years ago today
An amazing woman looked my way
I took a chance and then we talked
Her voice was just a mere whisper
I never thought she'd fall for me
But god was on my side that day
And what an angel that she was
Would never harm a single fly
We fell in love and then we married
She had the most beautiful soul
And making love, i'm still left speechless
How i used to melt each time
I miss those rare and beautiful eyes
That would radiate the darkest heart
And when this terminal illness struck her hard
I just wanted it to be me
For she truly did not deserve such pain
And there was nothing i could do
And as i held her hand while she laid in bed
Tonight, just before she died
She said, "thank you, hun...
For giving me the sparkle in my life"

THE RIVER

On a quietly dark, and starry filled night
He carried forth, searching for her presence
For she was the princess of the land
And he, the knight who loved her
She had tried to get away
Abandoning her family throne
She was unhappy, and he had to find her
He covered hours of wild terrain
Tracking the most unlikely paths
Which were pleasantly be scented
By her sweet perfume
When he thought he might be getting near
Hilly mudslides slowed him down
Thickened jungles wrestled him
But he was destined to find her
After all, she meant everything to him
She was his inner soul
The one who lifted his spirits
She would never let him down
For he had to find her
He had to know that she was fine
His horse became thirsty
As they stopped along a river
Taking refreshment for himself
He looked up from his hands
And there she was
Standing there beside her horse
Along the other side of the river
She glowed so bright in her velvet white
With a smile that would kill a thousand men
Her eyes they sparkled bright like gemstones
For she was surely the treasure of the Earth
The knight wanted to hold her at this moment
He swore he had never seen such a rare beauty
Such a grace of elegance standing right before him
She called to him with open arms
Calling him to cross the river
For if he did this, she would be his
And wanting nothing more
He had to accept her offer
The knight shed his armor
And dove in the river
And started his way toward her
The river was mighty
Its torrents were strong
And soon he became weary
But all he could think of was reaching her
As he crossed halfway
His muscles would ache
As he grew tiresome
Fighting the rapids so wild
He gave one last breath
And pushed toward her
But he slipped on a rock
Planted deep in the riverbed
He reached out his hand in desperate measure
Feeling the current start to pull him away
His head submerged
He accepted his fate
And knew he had tried
When in one last moment
He felt her hand
As she pulled him from within
The shadowy waters of death
She embraced his will
And held him tight
Never wanting to let go
The knight was exhausted
As she saw it in his eyes
And then she spoke
For anyone to try so hard
Just to be with me
Is something I cannot forget
Who would I be, if I should let you die
Without the least bit of effort to save you
They walked away from the river
As they both found happiness
And started a new life
In the kingdom that awaited their return

BRIGHT MESSENGERS

On a night like most, near the end of the day,
When tiresome bones and muscles fatigue,
I found it hard to close my eyes,
But why should it be, that I couldn't sleep?

I stared out the window, at the starlit sky,
While the curtains roused, from a passing breeze,
When I pulled the covers up over my head,
A frightening noise had entered my mind.

And as that noise had finally settled,
Curiosity seemed to lower the covers,
And when a light emerged from the dark,
A blinding intensity filled the room.

I sat up to focus on what was before me,
A figure, whose robe was enlaced with gold seams,
Immersed in the light, he started before me,
While at the same time, my eyes I would shade.

He smiled in his halt, and said do not fear,
For I am but one of many messengers,
And it is this reason I beckon your presence,
To deliver a message that's come from afar.

Amazed at it all, the sight of this being,
I needed to know the validity occurring,
I pinched and slapped, till my face would ache,
And wouldn't you know, there was that same smile.

In eager anticipation for the words he would flow,
I relaxed, and reached for my glass of water,
And after taking a sip, I sat it down again,
And gestured for him to speak forthwith:

We want you to know how safe we are,
In a peaceful land, of many lovely wonders,
You wouldn't believe how happy it is,
Like dreaming in a dream, but it never ends.

We arrived in this small house, so perfect it is,
And this has been our home ever since we left,
And when you step out on the front porch,
Oh my, how you can see miles and miles around.

I built a swing the other day, here upon the porch,
It's made out of wood, and you would laugh at my skill,
But little Emily seems to like it, I made it for her,
She pretends she's a butterfly when she swings her highest.

She likes when we go to the waterfalls to fill up our supply,
Rainbows literally dance among the falls. But the falls,
In themselves, they are quite a marvel to admire,
They fall from thin air, and meet as one, in the River of Life.

It's funny how when the night falls, all I think of is you,
Of how I used to lie in your arms, and be absent of fear,
The silence we shared in each heartfelt embrace,
That is what I miss the most, and what I most cherished.

Our time together on Earth was short-lived, my love,
But I want you to know, you will never be forgotten,
Just remember, everything happens for a reason,
And no matter what the reason, memories last forever.

Your daughter loves to play with the animals,
It's a wee bit farm, and the animals adore her,
We grow all sorts of fruits and vegetables,
And sweetness fills the air like nature's incense.

Honey, I want you to live life to its fullest,
Shortcomings will come at times,
But don't let them ever get you down,
Keep your head up, and enjoy it while you can.

If by chance you have fallen in love again,
And if by chance you have now a new family,
Please know we wish you the best, and smile for you,
As we will keep you locked in our hearts forever.

I only wish I knew what to tell little Emily,
When she asks when will daddy come home,
When will he pick me up and twirl me around,
When will he kiss me and hug me like before.

If by some misfortune, you never settle down again,
And you find yourself marveled, at the timeless waterfalls,
Follow their merge down the River of Life,
And that's where you'll find our love...yours, in Heaven...Lillian.

The messenger felt my pain and suffering,
He knew the last two months had been torture for me,
Countless nights I cried and begged forgiveness,
But there was nothing that could bring them back.

It was a late evening driving home from the park,
The rain was falling hard, visibility very limited,
The coming intersection had lost its power and lights,
We never made it cross that intersection that night.

Messenger, I said to him, please deliver this message:
I know, sweetheart, how lonely you and Emily must feel,
How I wish to be there, to be with the ones I love the most,
To hold you both, and this time never let you go.

The small cozy house with the wooden swing,
The endless fields that go miles and miles,
The rainbows that dance among the falls,
I'll be there soon to share it all.

STAR SHOWER II

From the flowing land of milk and honey
You came forth into my waiting presence
Purest, glowing form that was ever created
Sweetly scented like the freshest bouquet
I had never seen such quite a glisten as you
Leaving prints of gold with each fragile step
Then you came to me with unfolding wings
And I held you close as I glanced behind you
And watched a star shower fall from the sky
As the heavens had opened, benevolent light
Not a sound was echoed, as it lasted forever
Your striking charm, how I yearn for your stay
Caressing embrace, vibes of flutters, they dance
Magnificent moment, my lips on your face
The coolest breeze blows, along, within harmony
As your hair sways in rhythm, and touches my skin
I shudder to think what grand treasures you hold
What remarkable wonders your love waits to flow
Let my heart beat for you, as you look through my eyes
And feel my love cuddle so tight, all your soul
As I gesture the pathway to my timeless portal
And show you a world where love never dies

STAR SHOWER

As I watch the stars fall at night
I think of you
Reminding me of your smile
And how you touch my heart
Your voice soft as a whisper
It melts my soul
Bringing a nervousness
I can't control
A miracle angel you are to me
Giving me joy in all my dreams
And when I stare into your eyes
There is nothing more beautiful
And that is why I know
I want to be with you
Forever

SPARKLING SWEET STAR

When I think of how you've touched my heart
How you've been there in my times of need
I can only smile because I love you so
And thank the angels for sending you to me
It's been us for quite a while now
Funny how time slips away without notice
But here you are, still lingering in the wind
My sparkling jewel, my very best friend
The tingling moments we share, I wouldn't trade
The heartache and pain never tore us away
And the making-ups, no one does it better
So you see my love, it's you and me forever
The talks we've had through all the years
Just wanting to feel your skin so near
Soft as a feather, your lips they must be
How I think of you so, in my most urgent need
To cradle you gently, to hold in my arms
As I crave in delight for a taste of your charm
My sweetest possession, the girl of my dreams
My shimmering star, how you shine all of me
Honey, so precious, my only desire
The way you inspire, is what I admire
I'd never fail you in times of your need
Our bond is gold, and always will be
So when that day comes that we finally meet
And I stare in your eyes for the very first time
Don't be surprised if my tears start to fall
It's you that I love and want most of all

WONDROUS DAY

Today is a joyous, special occasion for you, my love
And I am honored to be the one you share it with
There is nothing in this world I would trade to give you away
For not to have you here by my side, like you've always been
I often think of your beauty and the way you laugh when we talk
How the image of your smile stays embedded in my mind
I float on a cloud to heaven when I think of your name
Like a timeless waterfall, you flow your love into my soul
Sensual tingles, as I can only imagine your soft touch
A haunting desire to melt my flesh into yours, by the fire
Come with me in great aspiration, my sweet fragranced rose
Shine your mighty strength of wisdom before the world
Watch them glow in amazement from your elegant essence
Watch my eyes burn so deep as they seek a cool thirst
Quench my heartfelt emotions that have always so prospered
When the all striving beat of my heart is in yearning
On this day of your birth is a new dawn beginning
That will lead us away to our loves perfect ending

UNCERTAINTY

Ever so often a certain one comes along
That takes your breath away like a morning sunrise
Someone that gives you hope and promises never seen
You were that one for me, my bright morning glow
Fresh air of freedom is what I felt in your arms
A quality so pure, which I never knew
My sunrise angel, with a beam of sprinkles shine
You always had a love I could not compare
Is it that we have finally grown tiresome
Is it that the love we shared has died
After all the strength we gave each other through
Does it fall apart and become a burden clue
Did you know how sad my heart felt when I wanted only you
Did you see you were the one I feared the most to flee
When I felt out of place, thinking you sought anew
I just couldn't pretend I was good enough for you
It wasn't the jealousy, or revenge that you believed
It was me wanting time, next to you, that I dreamed

VALENTINE SONG

My valentine, my heart, my very best friend
The true meaning of life you give me within
My ever growing love, a subtle entwine
The shades I stir, they mix and combine
Foundation we are, and nothing can stop us
So deeply in love, it's you that I find
Come for a while, this waking delight
Fall in my shelter, cradled in time
Valentine love, the one I watch dazzle
You are the one, my long lasting treasure
Follow my river, until our love springs
Songs that of heaven, the angels they sing

STELLAR PASSION

My adorable princess in the night
I searched the book of the cosmos for you
And there you were, my brightest star
A detailed flame of purest joy
That coalesced the heavens in extreme awe
The world, you have at your fingertips
And all the worlds and stars beyond
Tell me what you know of them
Do they shine from your essence
Or glow from the sight of your dramatic beauty
Do they travel the universe to be in unity with you
Do they wait for their cataclysmic, fateful end
So that the shattering pieces that remain of them
May somehow find their way to the cradle of you
How I wonder what miraculous wonders you be store
How you make me weak in the knees to gaze at you
Hanging high up there in the blissful night sky
How do you think the stars befell enviously
They all want to radiate the systems of galaxies
But you will be the one to teach them the way
As they will follow in your lead to perfection
It's when I come out late at night, and I feel all alone
I know you are there, weightless over me
I know because my shortness of breath tells me
As my heart pounds rapid in my chest
And once again, you seduce me into a supernova
Stellar blaze of glory, astral, luminescent sphere of light
From there to here is where you take me
As you have brightened all my ways of life

LOVE'S EMBRACE

Rhythmic beats of the pulsating sun
Delightful intake of its capturing rays
Colors of extravagance spring from its beams
As they dance in your eyes, which say more than words
Magical moment when you're in my presence
Striking silhouette of a gliding angel
Take me to the land of those infinite dreams
Flutter my heart as you feed what it loves
Innocent will of desire embraced
Timeless, the world, when you're in my arms
Aspects, our lives proving that much becoming
Untouchable grace we can only make prosper
A bond that's so close in our innermost haven
Crisp and clear is the air as we lust
Enhancing the tingles of our needing crave
Internal heat of a blissful flame
Diamond jewel in the night explodes
Immanence showers in majestic streams
Hours they pass, with the sounds of obsession
Sweat-soaked sheets on a cool summer night
Birds in the wake of a new day beginning
A breeze through the window that dances your hair
Pillow talk stories on a morning set bright
The scent of our love as it lingers amidst
